Southern Company tasked Hot Sauce Studios with developing a content framework for their new website that would enable the company to make regular updates, providing a clean interface to regularly refreshed content.
We created an initial design for Southern Company's information that was clean and contemporary, yet easily updated by Southern Company's internal IT team. The initial framework is in place today, and is wholly maintained by Southern Company.
Gulf Power was looking for a cooler, cleaner look to their home page, something that would allow them to showcase a few of the new Earth Cents featured products, and still be easy to update. The main banner area is built in Flash with a really nice user interaction. We kept a traditional CMS driven content area below that, allowing easier updating of content for their internal group.
Energy Select is a new program offered by Gulf Power allowing their customers real-time pricing on their power. It's a complicated offering with a simple focus; saving the customers money. The microsite includes overviews, Q&A, interactive diagrams and demos on how the program works, while always offering up the ability for the user to see if they qualify, and enroll online.
The interactive components of the site were designed in such a way as to allow their sales force to integrate them into their sales presentations, maximizing Gulf Power's investment in these pieces by offering them up at multiple customer touch points.
